2010MAY21 - Playdate with Jadyn Lew

Our friends David and Nadia had their daughter Jadyn only 3 weeks after we had Jordan. So it's not a surprise that these two have already been on a couple of long-distance play dates. Of course all they really do is some staring and some facial studies, but it's still fascinating seeing how babies interact with one another. Jordan is at the stage where he loves to pinch really hard so we have to constantly make sure we remind him to be gentle with others.

2010MAY16 - Cousins

Jordan and cousin Ava hanging out. This was the 1st time that Ava wasn't jealous. Not that she has anything to really be jealous about since she's such a cutie herself. Hopefully this blatant show of affection will continue as the cousins grow up together.

2010MAY16 - Vasona Park

Vasona Park has quickly become one of our favorite parks in the South Bay. It has pretty much everything you want...except free parking. We took my parents and my sister's family to check out what it has to offer. It was a great relaxing afternoon as we kicked back, had a picnic, flew kites, and played in the water. And let's not forget the $1 ice-cream next to the train/merry-go-round!

On Sunday Elaine and I dedicated Jordan to God at our church. Our other good friends who had their babies this past year also did their baby dedication. Jordan, the 2nd oldest being dedicated was a little squirmy. It almost appeared that he didn't want to be dedicated as Pastor Dave gave his blessing. But, all in all, everything went well.

2010MAY08 - SQUEEZY!!

The word "SQUEEZY" for some reason is pleasing to Jordan. I debated on whether to post this video, not because of anything scandelous, but mainly b/c of my high pitched voice. :p

2010MAY03 - 8 Months

8 months old! Time really flies. Jordan's bottom two teeth have erupted, making it difficult for us to sleep, but it's getting better. 2 teeth down, many more to go.

2010APR29 - It's the Tooth!

Well, it's finally here! After almost exactly 8 months, Jordan's 1st tooth has started to show. And the 2nd one isn't too far behind. Tonight he didn't cry at all. I just let him sit with me on the couch. He was playing with his toys and didn't even make a peep. Hopefully the evening crying is over with. It's another great step for Jordan, but a little sad for Elaine and I as he's growing up.

2010APR29 - Teething Con't

And the teething continues. The past 10 days have been a little trying for us. With Jordan's teeth coming in, he's been very irritable starting around 7pm. I have this theory that it might have less to do with teething, and more to do with him understanding that it's almost bedtime. He really doesn't like to be put down to sleep. In fact, when I carry him into his room, he immediately tries to look away from his crib. It's sort of cute, but sad at the same time.

Two nights ago he went down easily around 8pm, only to wake up at midnight. I didn't have to work the next day so I let Elaine sleep and went to try to calm Jordan down. We were up till 1am. The only way he would sleep was on my shoulder. He hasn't done that since Week 2. So the the past couple nights, I've been holding him till he passes out. It's probably not a good thing, but it makes him less stressed about sleep.
